Naas, Leinster, Ireland
Naas is an Irish town located in the province of Leinster. Its Irish names are ‘Nás na Ríogh’ and ‘ An Nás’, meaning ‘Place of Assembly of the Kings’ and ‘Place of Assembly’. Naas was a walled market town in the middle ages and became known as the county town of Kildare, because it was frequently used as place for trading, public meetings and local administration. The town has beautiful walking trails, passing 18th and 19th-century monuments. The town hosts a farmers’ market every Saturday from 10:00 to 15:00, where organic meat, fruits, veggies, cheese and much more can be found.
